- Injections: Injections of fillers such as hyaluronic acid or autologous fat can visibly reduce dark circles under the eyes. Another positive side effect is the lifting of the tear trough. Since hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the body, this type of filler is particularly gentle, with few to no side effects. Initial improvement is visible shortly after the treatment. The first results are visible shortly after the procedure. However, you should expect slight swelling, which usually subsides after just a few days.
- Surgical procedure: During minimally invasive procedures, such as lower eyelid lift surgery, Dr. Münzberg can remove particularly deep-set dark circles. There are two options for performing a lower eyelid lift. Prominent bags under the eyes can also be removed at the same time.
The treatment of dark circles under the eyes is a purely cosmetic procedure that is not medically necessary.
